Throughout this quarter in video, i have learned a lot. It was a good experience to be able to learn about video tips and the six shots. Coming into this class i knew nothing about video or any sort of sequencing with the six shots. I enjoyed being able to work in groups because it was good being able to share ideas throughout the group. We all got to share our own creativity with a piece of each video. I will probably continue to learn about ecomm and the video strand more particularly. Most of the quarter was really fun. We definitely had to put a lot go thought into making each video perfect and making sure the shots all transitioned well. I think that working with groups was the most fun part because being able to share our ideas was best for making the video be the best it could be.

This project did not interest me at all. I didn't understand why we were doing these specific steps and why it took such a long process. There is a 0% chance that i will be a web designer because i do not have the patience or control to be able to ever do that again. I did not think this project was fun because of all the confusion. I think this project was not the best for me. I can not even imagine having to do this for a career because i would probably just lose it. I don't think a job where you're always on the computer is best for me.
During this project i learned how to manage our time wisely when we didn't have a lot of time in general. we had 2 days to film and edit and we had to keep in mind all the separate shots. We learned as a group how to work together more to make things go faster. While we were filming we added a few shots to make the transitioning better. It was challenging to have to film and edit within a short period of time, but we found ways to make it work out. Next project i will try to make sure to check everything and make sure that were actually filming and its actually saving to the SD card. Collaboration in this project was different because of our limited time. We all worked together a lot more because it helped with getting it done. Next project using it will probably be easier because we won't have a very small time limit and we will know that everything is set up correctly.
During this project i learned how to set up the extra wide shot versus the wide shot. I also learned how to adapt to the other situations in order to be able to film specific spots. Also while i was editing my video i learned how to adjust the amount of the scene you can see at the top and how to pick out the specific spots you wasn't to be in the video. I used the in and out tools a lot because my scenes were fairly short. During my next project i will try to have more time to story board and think through the scenes and the transitions. Also, i will try to spend more time on picking the music and finding out what fits based on the activity as well. Most of the time i will try to set up the shots more specifically to see how they flow together and how and transition. Collaboration is when 2 or more people can work on a specific activity and have a good outcome based on the mixing of all peoples ideas and agreements.
The six shot sequence started with using the camera and the tripod to film all shots. At first I did the close up with the hands just to show how the story would begin. While I was editing the video I used a lot of the in and out tools to be able to show where I wanted my shots to end and beginning. I showed the start of the shot all the way up to the end of the shot. I learned about how to use both of the different tripods and also I learned how to customize the speed for the video. The whole video was based off of my partner’s hobby. I tried to show different aspects, good, and bad of skateboarding. A tool that was very helpful to me was the fade out tool. It helped slow down the video and show how it came to an end. I did learn a lot more about the camera and tripod throughout the scenes.
I used multiple tools to complete my video. I mostly used the I and O keys for in and out to be able to put in a mixture of shorter clips all together. The blade tool was really helpful for when i needed to crop out a part of the video that was unnecessary, also it helped me make the beginnings and endings more precise. I mostly had my project so I could work on it and be able to view everything at the same time by pressing shift-z. I chose lacrosse as my hobby because its an interesting sport that I love to play. Its also slightly complicated so I figured I could have multiple shots of different things going on in multiple games. I thought showing lacrosse would be unique because not very many girls play it. I enjoyed doing a video over lacrosse because it kind of shows the basics of the game and all the main parts that play into being a lacrosse player. my video also shows how different boys and girls lacrosse are.
I like my video because the story line makes sense and has a problem and solution and all that. I like how it has a dog rather than a human because you can still tell what the dog is thinking and what he is trying to do. I like how the dog has a lot of detail to him and ow he wasn't just squares and rectangles. On the other hand, i don't like how there isn't much going on. I don't like how the sounds don't matches well as they could've. I think if they had more sound effects to go with it, then it would be better. I tired to get the best sound that matched possible, but there wasn't very many that went with the dog theme. I also don't like how its so short. I think the message gets across, but i also think it could have more.
My personality test showed that I am an ENFP. The ENFP personality type are called the champion personality. They tend to be very energized with others and very curios. We are very outgoing and we love to make new friends! ENFP's are very true to they own judgement when making any decisions. Instead of focusing on the details of things, we focus on the big picture and the concept of it. The definition of an ENFP personality suits me very well. It shows that ENFP's are very enthusiastic and imaginative. I am very imaginative and enthusiastic and i often do rely on my improvising skills for some things. I am also very spontaneous and i do want a lot of affirmation from others. The ENFP personality fits me very well because i can relate to most of the characteristics it says. Although most everything matches up, some things don't. I am not too good at making connections between events and information quickly and I don't really see life as full of possibiliti
