In this story, the Reporter did a good job of giving the 5 w's and getting good b-roll. The story was well told and we had a good idea of what the situation was. The standup looked good and she was easy to understand. The interview was good as well and the interviewee gave very good responses to the questions.

The reporter labeled the story 'Woman fakes seizure to avoid would be mugger that handed her a frightening note' and didn't elaborate on that at all which think drew most of the views to the story in the first place. Instead, she says the woman faked a medical problem and that was all of it. Another thing the reporter could improve was asking the yes or no question rather than giving the interviewee a question they could've gone more in depth with. The interviewee did elaborate on the question, but if she hadn't, then it would've been useless. Also it would've been helpful to know if the woman they interviewed was the one threatened or just a bystander or what. There wasn't enough of a story.

From this, I think I will take away the good standup and the idea of having it be in the location and moving as well.

The six shot sequence started with using the camera and the tripod to film all shots. At first I did the close up with the hands just to show how the story would begin. While I was editing the video I used a lot of the in and out tools to be able to show where I wanted my shots to end and beginning. I showed the start of the shot all the way up to the end of the shot. I learned about how to use both of the different tripods and also I learned how to customize the speed for the video.   The whole video was based off of my partner’s hobby. I tried to show different aspects, good, and bad of skateboarding.   A tool that was very helpful to me was the fade out tool. It helped slow down the video and show how it came to an end. I did learn a lot more about the camera and tripod throughout the scenes.

This article is reassurance that it is okay to color outside of the lines in graphic design (not literally). Taking risks is what graphic design is all about. When it comes to completing the client’s needs, you have to meet them halfway. Finding that happy spot where both the clients ideas and the designers creativity meet is what makes a good design.   The author of this story is trying to get the fact across that not all designs must be so limited. As a designer, you have to be okay with the concept of your mind to new ideas and creative details will open up a whole new world for your graphic design.   For example, the author say’s “Design rules are more like guidelines.”   This quote shows us that the author literally means that rules aren’t always followed in graphic design and its not always necessary.

http://www.kctv5.com/clip/13695506/kansas-city-natives-remain-stranded-in-florida-due-to-hurricane-irma In this news story, the reporter did a good job of getting many people involved to create a full story and show the effect of irma on everyone through Kansas City natives. They showed a lot of "B-roll" through the videos that the people they were video-chatting with sent in. I thought that even though it was hard for them to get good B-roll, they made it work with the footage they got and it was still able give the viewers a lot of information about what is going on. I think the reporter coulee used more footage from the actual hurricane instead of just the interviews that the people sent in, but at the same time it helped make it more personal. I think a little back story coulee been helpful to start off the story. I will take away from this story how important it is to get multiple interviews and also I learned the creative ways to get b-roll that I hadn'
